Budding journalists and F1 fans alike are being offered the chance of a lifetime to launch a career reporting on Formula 1 racing through the most recent Red Bull Reporter assignment.

One budding journalist will be offered the chance of being assigned to the Red Bull Racing Team for two months, from Monaco to the British Grand Prix at Silverstone.

The successful journalist will be given exclusive access to the factory, team members and management as they join the team in Monaco and Silverstone as well as report from within the Milton Keynes base for the periods in between races. Writing as an autonomous journalist within the Red Bull Racing editorial team, the Red Bull Reporter will also get the opportunity to have their work published in a national publication.

The reporter’s exclusive access will include full team access at the Monaco GP, including media briefings, access to the drivers’ simulator at the factory, the chance to sit in on media sessions with the drivers, Christian Horner and Adrian Newey and Grandstand seats at Silverstone for the British GP.

This year Red Bull Reporter will be offering up and coming journalists the chance to take part in three unique and exclusive assignments across the year. In addition to the three official assignments, the reporter community will have the opportunity to apply for press passes for Red Bull events, sport fixtures and festivals across the year to boost their portfolios on the site.

Budding journalists can apply by visiting www.redbullreporter.com and creating a profile before submitting examples of work, profiles can be seen by all Red Bull Reporter users who are encouraged to rate and comment on each other’s submissions. Each profile acts as the reporter’s portfolio and will be considered when users apply for specific assignments.

Launched in 2009, Red Bull Reporter gives young talented writers, photographers, filmmakers and presenters the opportunity to report on unique elements of the world of Red Bull by providing unprecedented, behind the scenes access. Last year saw Peter Tweedie shooting some of the world’s best B Boys at Red Bull BC One in Tokyo, Persia Pirelli and Rex Kirby reporting from Red Bull Cliff Diving in Sisikon and Stefani Ernst and Kirsty McAvoy reporting on Red Bull X Fighters in London’s Battersea Power Station.

Mobil 1 lubricants have teamed up with Vodafone McLaren Mercedes to launch Will You Be The 1? an interactive, online game designed to provide the definitive Grand Prix test for any aspiring driver. Grand Prix driver Lewis Hamilton is the first to have played the game and has set a 10,147 points score to head the leaderboard. Vodafone McLaren Mercedes and Mobil 1, the world’s leading engine lubricant, have combined their racing expertise and technical know-how to create the game.

The gamer at the top of the leaderboard at 23.59.59 on 4th June will also receive an exclusive trophy containing Mobil 1 oil from the very Vodafone McLaren Mercedes MP4-23 car that helped Lewis Hamilton secure fifth place at the Brazilian GP and win the 2008 World Championship.

The four tests cover a wide range of skills essential for Grand Prix Racing driving including: Technical knowledge, which tests users knowledge of a Mercedes-Benz engine; Memory, which challenges competitors to recall race tracks from around the world; Reactions, where the Lewis-hopefuls drive a Vodafone McLaren Mercedes off the grid when the lights go green; and of course a Driving Challenge where players get to drive the Vodafone McLaren Mercedes MP4-24 on Lewis Hamilton’s Mobil 1 Supercircuit,  a selection of Lewis’ favourite corners from around the world.
