The BMW Sauber mechanic injured with the KERS system on Tuesday, is now at home resting after being admitted to hospital. He had initially returned back to work after receiving the electric shock from the BMW, but later complained of dizzy spells.
A Statement from the BMW Sauber team said,
“The mechanic who was involved in the KERS incident yesterday underwent additional medical tests in the Jerez hospital last night and today.
He was subsequently released by the doctors who were happy with the results of their tests. The mechanic is on his way back to Switzerland this evening.”
The conditions are extremely hot in Jerez with temperatures in the high 30’s and a track temperature of 55 Celsius, with testing continuing today and Friday.
