The drivers are to test a new system later this month as part of the new safety car regulation, an audio warning system.

The revised rules surrounding the closure of the pit lane while the safety car is on track has proved not to be a popular one amongst the drivers, which is why the FIA are experimenting with new ideas.

Recently, the cars have been fitted with a warning system on their dashboard, monitoring their speed through a sector, but this hasn’t proved popular with all the drivers because of the distraction.

Now the drivers will try the new updated software by the FIA, which will send an audio warning through the car’s radio system telling them they are going to fast.  It is possible that the new system will be tested as soon as theMonza Grand Prix at the end of the month.
